Nerissa Knight is a reporter for KTLA 5 News in Los Angeles.
She is a veteran TV journalist with 19 years broadcast TV news experience.
Nerissa served as co-host for KNBC-TV's "Today in LA" weekends for four years, and as an anchor and reporter for the affiliate. She also spent over three years as an anchor and reporter at the CBS affiliate, KTVT-TV, in Dallas. Before joining KTLA, Nerissa was an co-host at KTLA's sister station KDAF-TV where she hosted Tribune Media's syndicated morning show, "Eye Opener TV," shown in Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Miami and other cities.
Nerissa is an Emmy-nominated breaking news anchor who has conducted numerous one-on-one interviews with award-winning actors, world-renowned singers, four U.S. presidents, star athletes and filed countless stories on hurricanes, wildfires, mudslides and tornadoes.
Her career has taken her to serve as an anchor and reporter for news teams in Beaumont, Texas (KBTV-TV); Little Rock, Arkansas (KATV-TV, KTHV-TV); Mobile, Alabama (WALA-TV); Milwaukee, Wisconsin (WDJT-TV); Los Angeles (KNBC-TV); and Dallas (KTVT-TV, KDAF-TV) before joining the KTLA news team.
However, Nerissa is most proud of her family. She's married to her sweetheart since junior high school, and they have three children, two sons and a daughter.
